This project was conducted as a part of the Ubiquitous Computing course at the Interaction Design master programme of Chalmers University. HUD Mirror is an interactive mirror which shows different information such as time, weather, and temperature.
The final prototype uses 2 LED matrices for displaying various information in the bathroom. While the upper LED matrix always displays the time, the bottom LED matrix displays different applications. User can go through these applications by making a "swipe gesture" without even touching the mirror. The mirror also detects ambient light and shuts itself automatically in the dark.
The work has been shown in various net magazines :
Tofsen - Revolutionizing your bathroom experience
Hackaday.com - Bathroom mirror HUD displays time and weather
Our group for this project was consisting of 5 people. In this project, I actively participated in the conceptual design of the mirror and I was the main responsible for software development through the rest of the project.
